About Smyth County
Smyth County was formed from parts of Washington and Wythe counties and named after a General in the War of 1812. Smyth County houses three notable Towns: Chilhowie, Marion and Saltville. Visitors can take advantage of many attractions including the Lincoln Theater, Hungry Mother State Park, Museum of the Middle Appalachians, and much more. The Jefferson National Forest and Mount Rogers National Recreation Area can also be found in Smyth County.
