Carroll County lies in Southwest Virginia with one fifth of the county in the Piedmont Region and four fifths in the Appalachian Region. The Town of Hillsville is the most notable within the county. TheHillsville Historic District is a popular site to visit by many. Carroll County offers many attractions for visitors to enjoy including music venues, festivals, fine dining, multiple farms, wineries, parks and recreation activities. Visitors can tour various farms, and the Farmer’s Market, to purchase agricultural goods or even purchase a Christmas tree.
