About City of Bristol

Bristol is an independent city located in Virginia. The city is actually divided between the state of Virginia and Tennessee which only begins to describe its unique offerings. Bristol was recognized as the “Birthplace of Country Music” by the US Congress in 1998. It has many attractions to offer visitors including the notable Bristol Motor Speedway, Birthplace of Country Music Museum, Breweries and nightlife, shopping venues and much more. Visitors seeking outdoor recreation can take part in visiting Bristol’s caverns, golf, parks, trails and South Holston Lake.
